There’s a huge reed belt around the Lake Neusiedl in Austria. Some areas are accessible for the public and perfect for a photo walk. The untouched nature there is home to more than 300 birds species and over 30 mammal species.
A while ago I sold my Nikon DSLR equipment and looked for a lightweight, all purpose, mirror-less camera and lenses. I bought the Sony Nex 7 [Amazon Link] and I didn’t regret it for a minute. This is one of the first photos I made with it.
The photo is an HDR made from three bracketed shots. I used the Photomatix Aperture plug-in for some time, but recently switched to the full Version, Photomatix 5 [Photomatix Homepage] . It has more fine tuning possibilities than the plug-in and I love the deghosting feature that I use for older, hand held, HDR photos.
